Recess & Lunch Schedule
Susitna is a "CEP" school, meaning all students can receive breakfast and lunch free of charge. Breakfast is eaten in the MPR until 8:55 (Mon) and 7:55 (Tues-Fri) when students take breakfast to class to finish.
Lunch will be eaten either in the MPR or in the classrooms. Students will be given access to a minimum of 1 recess per day that is 30 minutes in length. Please ensure your child comes to school ready to spend 30+ minutes outside during recess. Per ASD Policy, we have outdoor recess unless the school front office thermometer temperature registers colder than -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
Kindergarten and 1st Grades: Recess: 10:55-11:25; Lunch: 11:25-11:55
2nd and 3rd Grades: Recess: 12:20-12:50; Lunch: 11:50-12:20
4th and 5th Grades: Recess 12:55-1:25; Lunch 12:25-12:55
